Hi, My name is Techung and I am a Tibetan singer-songwriter and a teacher living in exile in NEW YORK and dharamsala, India. I am best known for my performances of traditional and contemporary Tibetan music, dance and opera .

Tibetan Music Preservation Project
Enjoy listening to these traditional music from Lhasa, Tibet. Techung has spent the last ten years, and is still recording these songs as part of the Tibetan Music Preservation Project. Many individuals and organizations such as the New York Folklore Society and New York State Council to the Arts have supported this project. We are grateful to all of them. Techung has now recorded over 63 pieces of music which you can hear at the link below. Enjoy, share and thank you for preserving traditional music.
